Each tool has different functionalities that are restricted to a certain file type, game asset, or both. Most tools are made for ME3; a few have been ported for ME1. 50 Face presets for Male and 50 for Female Shepard from Mass-effect-3.facesofgaming.com All Armors and Casuals in wardrobe (Except DLC Citadel additions because of bugs) Several game tweaks.
ME3Explorer & DLC mods: It's a wonderful world, ranging from hi-res texture mods, to alternate outfits and gameplay additions. It requires a bit of digging, however there will be great results as your game will look certainly better. The ones I'd recommend are: Bonus Power Packs and Galaxy Map Mod, and your visual mods by choice. Nexus will provide all you ever need.
Coalesced mods: Remember to backup Coalesced.bin! These are more technically specific and will affect your gameplay, such as keybindings (splitting the omni key), level cap modding in SP. Most other hacks are not recommended due to policies regarding multiplayer, but you know the drill. If you're willing to take a risk with Java, ME3MM provides even more fun options.
Config & Nvidia Inspector tweaks: 'ProgramDataBioWareMass Effect 3BIOGameConfigGamerSettings.ini', this file will allow you to disable motion blur, disable FXAA (SMAA is a better option), disable VSync and FPS cap which will eliminate input lag, which are all listed here, also you can raise AF to 16x which has no performance impact, and enable SSAO, an ambient occlusion effect in Nvidia Inspector here.
SweetFX & Flawless Widescreen: Those tool should be self-explanatory. Inject SMAA, changing the game's look with a preset, which all can be tweaked to your configuration. Lastly, if you're playing in the 21:9 ratio, FW will fix the HUD and the menu for you painlessly.
These are just some of the most popular tweaks to fix this port on PC. Of course, if you only own a console then you're out of luck, but if you have any technical question, you can ask me here and I'll be happy to help.
